My point of confusion was how can I solve a distance, time. and rate problem ? What I learned about my point of confusion is that you have to make a triangle and write the numbers in one side of the triangle, you have to divide the triangle into three sections and you write the distance on the top section the rate on the left section and the time in the right section. I gained a greater understanding of my point of confusion when they told me that I had to divide the time and the distance to get the rate. Then the answer of the division problem is my rate but I have to put it as meters per second (mps). This learning is important because it connects to my previous learning because in my math class we play a game called kahoot in our Chromebook and it is like a quiz and all the students try to get to the top. The test is about distance, time, and rate. We are also doing quizzes about drt and I needed help on those kind of problems. What I found meaningful about this weeks tutorial session is that when you organize the numbers in the triangle you have to divide the time with the rate and the answer is your rate, but you have to put it as meters per second or mps.
I have achieved 2 goals of February. One of the goals I passed is that I beat my mile time by a minute I had it at 10 minutes and now I got 9 minutes. Another goal I passed is that I got a better grade in all my classes, I have A's on P.E., science, ELA, and social studies.
This week in language arts we used a website called EverFi. We had to use it for our new chromebooks , it told us about how to stay safe in the laptop. It is also about what websites are good for you to buy lots of stuff it has to be https in the beginning. In Math we learned about DRT ( distance, rate, and time ). If it says mph (per) it is rate, distance is miles, and time is hours or seconds. In Social Studies we are learning about the Aztecs and that they lived in Tenochtitlan which is now Mexico. It is also that they found the eagle holding a snake in his mouth and sitting on a cactus. In Science I learned about dinosaurs and about how the bones are mostly the same as other mammals.
